Andrew Holden

Clinical Director
Associate Professor Andrew Holden is an Interventional Radiologist with an extensive experience in clinical practice as well as clinical research, particularly vascular device trials.
Andrew holds staff positions at Auckland Hospital and Auckland University and is the author of over 150 peer reviewed journal articles, multiple book chapters and hundreds of presentations at international vascular meetings.

Andrew has been Principal Investigator (PI) in over 100 first-in-human vascular and endovascular trials. Andrew is a Clinical Advisory Board member for multiple large strategics in the vascular and endovascular space. He has also worked with small start-up companies to facilitate exits.

Andrew Hill

Clinical Director
Dr Andrew Hill is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Auckland City Hospital with nearly 20 years’ experience in clinical research.
Dr Hill is skilled in the design of clinical trials and the integration of new devices into clinical practice.

Dr Hill is a past President of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Vascular Surgery and the World Federation of Vascular Societies.

Helen Knight

Regulatory Director
Helen draws on her nursing background to bring a patient-centred approach to clinical research, grounded in safety and advocacy.
Helen has hands-on experience in sponsor-led, investigator-initiated, and academic research across both public and private sectors. She focuses on early-phase trials, especially first-in-human studies, and supports teams through every stage of the research journey.

Greg McCarthy

Commercial Director
Greg has a strong banking, commercial and analytical background. He oversees the formulation, negotiation and implementation of service agreements and other customer contracts, as required.
Greg also oversees Vera’s accounting, finance, corporate compliance and governance requirements.
